The evidence from all OECD countries shows that the private sector is far more bureaucratic and much less efficient than the public sector when it comes to providing health care.
Ten Health Care Myths
Gentlemen from Hooker - and many other places - are quite literally pouring these and many other poisons into your coffee and your kids' juice. They just do it in a more indirect, anonymous, and apparently socially acceptable way.
150 Years of Dirty Water

Dear Councillor,
I urge you to vote in favour of holding a referendum on the Harris government's megacity scheme.
In a democracy, citizens must have the right to participate fully in important decisions affecting the future of their communities. No one has the right to deny us this fundamental democratic right.
The more we learn about it, the more it becomes apparent that the megacity would be a disaster for Metro Toronto.
But the most repugnant aspect of this whole business is the dictatorial way in which the government is attempting to impose its megabureaucracy on the citizens of Metro Toronto. It has no mandate and no right to do what it is doing, any more than the Milosevic regime in Yugoslavia has the right to do away with municipal councils it dislikes. Harris and Leach, like Milosevic, must be stopped.
It is essential that a referendum be held. If you believe in democracy, you must vote in favour of holding a referendum.
